DUNLAP DEALT TO SEATTLE

The Seattle Seahawks acquired defensive end Carlos Dunlap from the Cincinnati Bengals for offensive lineman B.J. Finney and a seventh-round draft pick in 2021.

What does it give the Seattle Seahawks
Seattle is a top contender in the NFC this season, but they will not win it all unless they start generating more of a pass rush on defense. That is why they acquired Dunlap here. The veteran end will probably be used on most passing downs and be asked to sack the QB from time to time.

What does it give the Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals have struggled with both injuries and inconsistent play along the O-line for quite some time now. Protecting franchise rookie QB Joe Burrow is of primordial importance now, so adding more depth in Finney makes sense. The latter can play guard and center, so he should help the shaky, injury-prone unit.

Fantasy impact
Dunlap could see more snaps in Seattle, after he basically lost his starting job to Amani Bledsoe in Cincy this year. That said, he remains off the IDP radar for now.
