TITANS DEAL FOR DESMOND KING II
The Tennessee Titans acquired defensive back Desmond King II from the Los Angeles Chargers for a sixth-round draft pick in 2021.
What does it give the Tennessee Titans
In King II, the Titans acquire a rather versatile performer: he can play cornerback, safety, can return kicks and also be used as a nickelback. With Tennessee, the latter could be his role with his new squad. Regardless of how he will be used by head coach Mike Vrabel (a versatile NFL player himself back in his day), King II should help the contending Titans in 2020.
What does it give the Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers are struggling on defense this season, and just recently lost to Denver on the last play of the contest. Therefore, it should not be surprising to see them selling off assets before the trade deadline. King II's role was diminished somewhat this season after LA acquired slot corner Chris Harris Jr. as a free agent from the Broncos.
Fantasy impact
For now, King II is off the IDP fantasy league radar. However, if he becomes a multi-faceted weapon in Tennessee (as he was at times in LA), King II may become an option.
