BRONCOS, EAGLES EXCHANGE RESERVES

The Denver Broncos acquired linebacker Joe Mays from the Philadelphia Eagles for running back J.J. Arrington.

What does it give the Denver Broncos
In Mays, the Broncos definitely add some depth at inside linebacker and there's always the possibility the sixth-rounder in 2008 improve and develop into a reliable rotation guy, something he was unable to do in Philly nor was he given a real chance. And the price to pay is cheap considering Arrington had no future in Arizona. A good move.

What does it give the Philadelphia Eagles
Though he hasn't played a single down since 2008, Arrington could provide a safety net as the third-string running back with the Eagles and has some explosiveness as a shifty kick returner, though Ellis Hobbs is the man there. However, he's injury-prone and has never justified his second-round selection back in 2005 but he's a receiving option out of the backfield for the inexperienced Kevin Kolb who is now behind center.
