JETS LAND CB CROMARTIE

The New York Jets acquired cornerback Antonio Cromartie from the San Diego Chargers for a conditional third-round draft pick in 2011.

What does it give the New York Jets
The Jets now have bookend corners for head coach Rex Ryan's vaunted defense, as Cromartie will now team with Darrelle Revis to form one of the best CB duos in the NFL. An already good pass-defense just got better in New York. Now, Cromartie just needs to keep out of trouble off the field.

What does it give the Los Angeles Chargers
If you're not going to keep good players, you might as well get good value for them via trade. That's exactly what the Chargers did here. The third rounder could turn into a second-round pick in 2011, depending on Cromartie's performance with the Jets. Everybody wins in this deal.
