JULIO JONES JETTISONED TO TENNESSEE

The Tennessee Titans acquired wide receiver Julio Jones and a sixth-round draft pick in 2023 from the Atlanta Falcons for a second-round draft pick in 2022 and a conditional fourth-round draft pick in 2023.

What does it give the Tennessee Titans
This deal should really help Tennessee in their quest to find better balance on offense, since they rely heavily (perhaps even too much) on stud running back Derrick Henry. Jones can provide the deep threat to play opposite AJ Brown, which should make both wideouts more dangerous. This trade should also benefit quarterback Ryan Tannehill, although he may have to improve his deep throws in 2021.

What does it give the Atlanta Falcons
For the Falcons, trading away one of the best players in franchise history is tough (but apparently necessary). New Falcons coach Arthur Smith is going to implement a system similar to Tennessee's, since he was the Titans' offensive coordinator before his arrival in Atlanta. So, the Falcons will run more, throw the ball to the tight ends more and rely a lot less on QB Matt Ryan's arm.

Fantasy impact
This trade does not help Jones much (if at all) because he is headed to a run-oriented team. Therefore, Jones should be downgraded in many fantasy drafts this year. Brown should be helped by Jones' mere presence on the team, as should Henry. Tannehill's stock improves slightly as well, while Ryan's value takes a big hit.
