PACKERS PICK COBB BACK UP
The Green Bay Packers acquired wide receiver Randall Cobb from the Houston Texans for a sixth-round draft pick in 2022.
What does it give the Green Bay Packers
With Aaron Rodgers back for (apparently) one final season in Green Bay, the Packers seem to be going all in to try to win one more Super Bowl. Cobb returns to the fold after two seasons in the state of Texas (one each with Dallas and Houston). Cobb will help Rodgers in the slot and provide more weapons.
What does it give the Houston Texans
The Texans recently made a trade for Anthony Miller from Chicago, so he is now expected to replace Cobb in the slot. The Texans, like Green Bay, have an unhappy quarterback in Deshaun Watson (who is still likely to be traded), so Cobb was not going to be much of a factor in Houston this season anyway.
Fantasy impact
Cobb's 2021 fortunes have turned for the better with the move to Green Bay. Reuniting with Rodgers should make Cobb a fantasy-worthy receiver in '21.
