TEXANS TRADE ROBY TO NEW ORLEANS

The New Orleans Saints acquired cornerback Bradley Roby from the Houston Texans for a third-round draft pick in 2022 and a conditional sixth-round draft pick in 2023.

What does it give the New Orleans Saints
For the Saints, adding Roby here gives them a quality veteran cornerback to play opposite Marshon Lattimore. New Orleans had been searching for a second corner for some time now, so this move should help the Saints fairly quickly. New Orleans also got Houston to pay a large chunk of Roby's salary in the deal.

What does it give the Houston Texans
The Texans have a lot of issues at present time, led by the entire Deshaun Watson situation. So, the team is not expected to contend this season. Therefore, it is good business to deal away some of their most expensive, older talent for futures. The key to the deal will be the third-rounder in '22. To get it, Houston had to convert a lot of Roby's salary into a signing bonus.

Fantasy impact
Roby might have some value in deep IDP leagues. Otherwise, he should not be picked up. He will help New Orleans defensively, but they were already a recommendable fantasy defense in 2021.
