In Cashman, the Texans get an inside 'backer who can contribute on special teams. There is some untapped upside here but Cashman has been beset by injuries. He has a chance to play more in Houston.
What does it give the New York Jets
The Jets felt comfortable with their linebacker depth, so they deemed Cashman expendable. They got back a late-round pick in next year's draft and gave up on the oft-injured Cashman in the process.
Fantasy impact
There is no fantasy impact to speak of here, as Cashman is not even guaranteed a roster spot for the 2022 campaign.
