RAIDERS ADD DAVANTE ADAMS!

The Las Vegas Raiders acquired wide receiver Davante Adams from the Green Bay Packers for a first-round draft pick in 2022 (No. 22 overall) and a second-round draft pick in 2022 (No. 53 overall).

What does it give the Las Vegas Raiders
Wow! This is a shocking blockbuster of a trade, mainly because Adams was expected to remain in Green Bay with Aaron Rodgers for the foreseeable future. Instead, he will head to the Raiders, his childhood team and catch passes from his former college quarterback Derek Carr (they played together at Fresno State). The arrival of Adams helps Las Vegas stay competitive in what looks to be the best division in the NFL in 2022 (AFC West).

What does it give the Green Bay Packers
At this point, it is hard to comprehend what the Packers are doing. First, it was believed that Rodgers wanted out. However, the Packers found a way to satisfy their franchise quarterback and keep him in the fold. However, Adams was given the franchise tag but wanted no part of that. So, Green Bay traded him for two high draft picks in this year's draft. The Pack will almost certainly use one of those two picks on a wide receiver. The drama continues in Green Bay!

Fantasy impact
Adams should be downgraded slightly now that he is heading to Las Vegas; Carr is good but he is no Aaron Rodgers. That said, Adams might become a value draft pick if he falls too much in various fantasy leagues in '22. Rodgers should also be downgraded now that his favorite receiver is gone, while Carr's stock moves in the opposite direction.
