TITANS TRADE FOR ROBERT WOODS
The Tennessee Titans acquired wide receiver Robert Woods from the Los Angeles Rams for a sixth-round draft pick in 2023.
What does it give the Tennessee Titans
In Woods, the Titans land an ideal complement opposite star wide receiver A.J. Brown. Woods has played opposite great receivers throughout his career, so his role with Tennessee should be obvious. His arrival should help quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who needs a big rebound campaign in 2022.
What does it give the Los Angeles Rams
The Super Bowl champions felt that Woods was expendable after signing Allen Robinson as a free agent. The Rams also boast superstar Cooper Kupp, the emerging Van Jefferson and possibly free agent Odell Beckham Jr. (who is rumored to be interested in a return to LA). So someone had to go.
Fantasy impact
Woods should be downgraded on most draft boards because LA's offense is way more explosive than Tennessee's run-heavy approach. That said, Woods should still be a decent fantasy receiver in 2022 (provided he returns to full health from knee surgery).
