PARKER PICKED UP BY NEW ENGLAND

The New England Patriots acquired wide receiver DeVante Parker and a fifth-round draft pick in 2022 (No. 158 overall) from the Miami Dolphins for a third-round draft pick in 2023.

What does it give the New England Patriots
In Parker, the Patriots get a talented wide receiver who should help quarterback Mac Jones in the latter's second season in the NFL. Parker has great size and leaping ability, so he should play a role as a deep threat down the field for New England.

What does it give the Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins were always going to trade a wide receiver after landing Tyreek Hill in a blockbuster trade with Kansas City earlier in the off-season. Parker was the obvious candidate to go. Miami also picked up former Cowboys wideout Cedric Wilson recently.

Fantasy impact
Parker's fantasy prospects are unlikely to greatly improve in New England, a team that loves to run the ball early and often. Therefore, Parker is no more than a late-round draft option in many league formats going forward.
