EDGE RUSHER MARTIN MOVES TO DENVER

The Denver Broncos acquired linebacker/defensive end Jake Martin and a fifth-round draft pick in 2024 from the New York Jets for a fourth-round draft pick in 2024.

What does it give the Denver Broncos
Martin will help replace Bradley Chubb, recently departed for Miami. Denver still has Jonathon Cooper, Baron Browning, Nik Bonitto and the injured Randy Gregory as edge rushers, but Martin should see more action with the Broncos moving forward.

What does it give the New York Jets
In the end, the Jets wound up not needing Martin despite signing him as a free agent this past off-season. So, New York wound up getting a one-round draft upgrade in '24 for Martin's services. New York had interest in Chubb, but he landed in Miami.

Fantasy impact
There is no need to pick Martin up at this time. Wait to see how the rotation shakes down for Denver's edge rushers before making any commitments.
