PANTHERS PICK UP No. 1 PICK!

The Carolina Panthers acquired a first-round draft pick in 2023 (No. 1 overall) from the Chicago Bears for wide receiver DJ Moore, a first-round draft pick in 2023 (No. 9 overall), a second-round draft pick in 2023 (No. 61 overall), a first-round draft pick in 2024 and a second-round draft pick in 2025.

What does it give the Carolina Panthers
Somebody was going to move up to the top spot in this year's NFL draft, and it ends up being Carolina. The Panthers gave up a lot in Frank Reich's first major move as head coach of the squad, but at least the Cats can start fresh with a new franchise quarterback, but will Carolina select Alabama QB Bryce Young or Ohio State signal-caller CJ Stroud? Stay tuned!

What does it give the Chicago Bears
This is an excellent trade for Chicago, who do not need to take a quarterback in this year's draft and are committed to Justin Fields. Fields gets a new weapon in Moore, who should team with Darnell Mooney to form an excellent wide receiver duo in Chicago. Two first-rounders and two-second-rounders puts the icing on the cake on an outstanding haul for the Bears.

Fantasy impact
Moore's fantasy value remains mostly the same, as he is a breakout candidate in 2023 wherever he plays. Fields' value goes up after this trade, while the QB selected by Carolina also has solid value (especially in keeper leagues). That said, Young or Stroud (the first overall pick) would have been better off with Moore on the roster in his rookie campaign.
