SEAHAWKS SNAG LEONARD WILLIAMS

The Seattle Seahawks acquired defensive lineman Leonard Williams from the New York Giants for a second-round draft pick in 2024 and a fifth-round draft pick in 2025.

What does it give the Seattle Seahawks
After taking over first place in the NFC West the Seahawks are making a major defensive addition in former Pro Bowl defensive lineman Williams. So far this season he has 1.5 sacks, 5 quarterback hits, and 21 tackles. The Seahawks have playoffs on their mind and this addition makes them an even more dangerous team in an NFC with few true contenders.

What does it give the New York Giants
For the Giants this season has been a disappointment after qualifying for the playoffs last year. With a return to the playoffs becoming less likely by the day and Williams contract set to expire at the end of the season they decided to become sellers. The two draft picks they acquired should help them reload for the future. The Giants also agreed to cover most of the $10 million still owed to Williams.

Fantasy impact
Williams should see a boost in his own numbers while boosting Seattle's team defense simultaneously. Both he and the team defense are ones to watch going forward.
