MIXON MOVED TO HOUSTON
The Houston Texans acquired running back Joe Mixon from the Cincinnati Bengals for a seventh-round draft pick in 2024 (No. 224 overall).
What does it give the Houston Texans
Mixon is a proven commodity at running back, and has been consistent at the NFL level. He should be a terrific fit in Houston, a team that is rising up the power rankings very quickly.
What does it give the Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals were expected to release Mixon, so at least they were able to get a draft pick back in return. Cincinnati will move forward with Zack Moss and Chase Brown at running back.
Fantasy impact
Mixon's fantasy impact could be significant in Houston, so he should be among the first five running backs chosen in keeper formats this year. He is probably too old to be a keeper at this point in his NFL career. He is a solid top-10 running back in non-keeper leagues, too.
