PICKETT PICKED UP BY PHILLY

The Philadelphia Eagles acquired quarterback Kenny Pickett and a fourth-round draft pick in 2024 (No. 120 overall) from the Pittsburgh Steelers for a third-round draft pick in 2024 (No. 98 overall) and a seventh-round draft pick in 2025.

What does it give the Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles have Tanner McKee behind starter Jalen Hurts, but lost veteran Marcus Mariota (Washington) in free agency. Enter Pickett, who should be the favorite to win the backup job behind Hurts in 2024. Pickett needed a change of scenery.

What does it give the Pittsburgh Steelers
For the Steelers, moving on from Pickett at this time makes a ton of sense. Russell Wilson was brought in to be the starter, so Pickett was in line to become a backup even had he remained in Pittsburgh. Now, they need a backup/understudy for Wilson.

Fantasy impact
Pickett has lost all fantasy value after losing the starting job in Pittsburgh (first to journeyman Mason Rudolph late last season, then to Wilson in the off-season). Some Hurts fans may decide to take a flier on Pickett as a handcuff. Otherwise, pass.
