BROWNS ADD RESERVE O-LINEMAN

The Cleveland Browns acquired offensive guard John Greco from the St. Louis Rams for an undisclosed draft pick.

What does it give the Cleveland Browns
The Browns already have a good offensive line but Greco gives them more flexibility and depth in running situations. With the emergence of Peyton Hillis as a power back (and with Cleveland likely to run more than most teams), Greco could become a key rotational road grader for the Browns.

What does it give the St. Louis Rams
The Rams are focusing more on their passing game these days and Greco wasn't an ideal fit for that approach. Recently St. Louis signed several undrafted free agent O-linemen, and it won't be surprising if they go the free agent route for more pass protection. The undisclosed draft pick obviously isn't much of a return for Greco.
