BRONCOS TAKE A CHANCE ON WILSON

The Denver Broncos acquired quarterback Zach Wilson and a seventh-round draft pick in 2024 (No. 256) from the New York Jets for a sixth-round draft pick in 2024 (No. 207).

What does it give the Denver Broncos
The Broncos have a crying need for more quarterback help, so adding Wilson makes sense at this time. Denver will likely draft another quarterback early on in this week's NFL draft, so Wilson might actually start out as Denver's No. 3 QB (behind the rookie and projected starter Jarrett Stidham).

What does it give the New York Jets
Wilson's three-year run with the Jets is among the worst quarterback performances of all time. So, it was obviously time for a change. The Jets received a draft pick upgrade with this trade. Look for New York to select a quarterback late in this year's NFL draft. Stay tuned!

Fantasy impact
None of Denver's quarterbacks have much fantasy value heading into 2024. Stidham will probably get first dibs on the starting job, but the (likely) rookie selected in this year's draft and Wilson will not be far behind him. That said, stay away from this QB situation from a fantasy perspective until there is more clarity.
