COWBOYS AND VIKINGS SWAP CORNERS
The Dallas Cowboys acquired cornerback Andrew Booth from the Minnesota Vikings for cornerback Nahshon Wright.
What does it give the Dallas Cowboys
In this swap of cornerbacks, the Cowboys get the younger player with more potential. Booth was a second-round pick in 2022, but he did not earn a starting role in his first two seasons. Dallas must see room for growth as Booth is still just 23 years old. Even so, he will likely be a backup and special teams performer.
What does it give the Minnesota Vikings
Wright mainly played on special teams in his three seasons with Dallas. A third-round pick back in 2021, he does not appear to have much upside at this point, but the change of scenery could do him well. Expect him to compete for a depth role with the Vikings, who are already dealing with injuries to their secondary.
