DIONTAE JOHNSON JOINS THE RAVENS
The Baltimore Ravens acquired wide receiver Diontae Johnson and a sixth-round draft pick in 2025 from the Carolina Panthers for a fifth-round draft pick in 2025.
What does it give the Baltimore Ravens
Johnson will provide depth to Baltimore's wide receivers group, which includes Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman and Nelson Agholor. Do not expect Johnson to make a major impact here but the Ravens are going for a Super Bowl title, so the trade does make some sense from that standpoint.
What does it give the Carolina Panthers
Carolina is going nowhere this season, so selling off assets like Johnson makes sense at this time. With Xavier Legette and Jalen Coker needing more playing time, the Panthers did well to move on from Johnson. They were also able to get a one-pick draft round upgrade with this deal.
Fantasy impact
Johnson's fantasy stock is unlikely to improve with the move to Baltimore, despite the obvious quarterback upgrade in Lamar Jackson with the Ravens. There are simply too many mouths to feed in Baltimore. This would be a good time to trade or drop Johnson in many fantasy leagues.
