DENVER DEALS VAUGHN FOR FB GRONKOWSKI

The Denver Broncos acquired fullback Chris Gronkowski from the Indianapolis Colts for cornerback / return man Cassius Vaughn.

What does it give the Indianapolis Colts
Now that the Colts are seemingly in full overhaul mode, adding young, talented, and affordable players is a must for them. Vaughn is a nice fit with that in mind: he's a true speedster who brings playmaking ability at both cornerback and kick returner. He needs to prove the affects of a broken leg are behind him, but Vaughn has the talent to step up right away as a starting cornerback and regular return man. A bit of a steal here for the Colts.

What does it give the Denver Broncos
Denver is in 'win-now' mode, and with only the unproven Austin Sylvester at fullback, adding a more proven blocker was a must. Gronkowski isn't a star but he's a very solid contributor and his ability to slow down tacklers and pass-rushers will help the Broncos establish their running game and keep {P Peyton Manning} stay upright. Vaughn is probably the more talented player, but this is a 'needs' move for Denver.
