'BOYS GET PICK FOR LB, TE

The Miami Dolphins acquired linebacker Akin Ayodele and tight end Anthony Fasano from the Dallas Cowboys for a fourth-round pick in the 2008 draft.

What does it give the Miami Dolphins
An interesting move here by the 'Phins. Ayodele and Fasano are far from long-range prospects, they're game-ready guys who have starter ability. Ayodele will help shore up a defense that lost Zach Thomas this offseason, and Fasano may push for a starting gig. Looks like boss Tuna is trying to win quickly.

What does it give the Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys are cutting payroll here, which makes sense because they had two first-round picks to give money to (which will be expensive). They obviously felt they can lose Ayodele and Fasano, but on paper is seems a hefty straight-up cost for a fourth-rounder in a not-terribly-deep draft.
