What does it give the Miami Dolphins
McQuistan is a versatile but unproven offensive tackle who can play either side (but is better suited to the right). He hasn't started a single game in his four-year NFL career so far, but adds important depth for Miami.

What does it give the Dallas Cowboys
Here the Cowboys mostly get roster space to make room for a player to help in the secondary--especially at strong safety. McQuistan was definitely expendable at this time.
