CHIEFS ADD SHERMAN FOR ARENAS

The Kansas City Chiefs acquired fullback Anthony Sherman from the Arizona Cardinals for cornerback Javier Arenas.

What does it give the Kansas City Chiefs
With the Chiefs, Sherman will be responsible for lead-blocking for talented running back {P Jamaal Charles}. He figures to be used very sparingly in both the running and passing games. However, his presence is important in Andy Reid's west-coast offense.

What does it give the Arizona Cardinals
Arenas comes into the Cardinals' secondary situation as a backup. Though he has also been a return man in Kansas City, he's not likely to be the main man for either kickoffs or punts in Arizona. Sherman was no longer needed here (the new offense doesn't employ a fullback).

Fantasy impact
There's very little fantasy value here, since Sherman is mostly a blocker and Arenas won't likely get on the field enough to make an impact with either return yardage or interceptions.
