PATS CONTINUE BOLSTERING D-LINE, BRING IN WORTHY

The New England Patriots acquired defensive tackle Jerel Worthy from the Green Bay Packers for a conditional future seventh-round draft pick.

What does it give the New England Patriots
The Patriots have a talented D-line but it's full of durability question marks, with projected veteran regulars {P Vince Wilfork} and {P Tommy Kelly} coming off injuries (and several other injury issues along the line). Worthy is an above-average talent, but wasn't a great fit in Green Bay (and has struggled with injuries himself). Worthy has definite untapped potential, and could be a steal here for a New England defense looking for depth.

What does it give the Green Bay Packers
Worthy didn't pan out after the Pack took him in Round 2 of the 2012 NFL Draft, so they move on here and save a little cash. The off-season addition of {P Julius Peppers} and the {P Khyri Thornton} likely made Worthy expendable, and as a one-gap type of D-lineman he wasn't a great fit for what Green Bay tries to do on 'D.'

Fantasy impact
Even when on his game Worthy isn't a big stats guy, so this trade has little to no fantasy impact for either the Patriots or Packers.
