REID FOR CORSO
The Philadelphia Flyers acquired winger Darren Reid from the Tampa Bay Lightning for forward Daniel Corso.
What does it give the Philadelphia Flyers
Reid may have a chance to play in with the Flyers, since the club is struggling in all areas of the game. Reid is mainly a strong work-ethic guy who won't hurt his team in the defensive zone. If he can't cut it in the NHL, he'll at least provide depth with the AHL's Philadelphia Phantoms.
What does it give the Tampa Bay Lightning
Corso is more versatile than Reid, and a more natural scorer as well. That said, the Lightning already have several players of similar ilk on the roster, so Corso is probably ticketed for the AHL's Springfield Falcons. He could see a cup of coffee in Central Florida later in the season.
