DUCLAIR SENT TO SAN JOSE
The San Jose Sharks acquired winger Anthony Duclair from the Florida Panthers for forward Steven Lorentz and a fifth-round draft pick in 2025.
What does it give the San Jose Sharks
In Duclair, the Sharks are getting a speedy winger who can score goals (albeit in streaks). San Jose had cap space to help acquire Duclair, since he was mostly a cap casualty for the Panthers.
What does it give the Florida Panthers
Big Lorentz enjoyed a solid season (his first) in San Jose last season, and now moves to Florida to help with their bottom-six forward situation. Lorentz is cheaper than Duclair, but not as good.
Fantasy impact
Duclair's fantasy value takes a bit of a hit moving to San Jose, although he could see more ice time overall. Proceed with caution with him in drafts this year. Lorentz is not really recommendable at this time.
