The Colorado Avalanche acquired defenseman Caleb Jones from the Carolina Hurricanes for forward Callahan Burke.

What does it give the Colorado Avalanche
For the Avalanche, Jones will provide solid organizational depth. He has a decent amount of NHL experience, and is still only 26 years of age.

What does it give the Carolina Hurricanes
Burke is strictly a depth forward at this time. He has two games of NHL experience under his belt, but is unlikely to crack Carolina's roster.

There is no fantasy impact here, as neither Jones nor Burke is expected to spend much time in the NHL this season.
