BLACKHAWKS BRING IN PITLICK

The Chicago Blackhawks acquired forward Rem Pitlick from the Pittsburgh Penguins for a conditional seventh-round draft pick in 2026.

What does it give the Chicago Blackhawks
Injuries have taken a major toll on the Blackhawks this season, especially up front. Pitlick had been playing in the minor leagues this season, but he could find himself in the Windy City fairly soon. He is a middling NHL player, but with good versatility.

What does it give the Pittsburgh Penguins
The Penguins need more draft picks, and they need to start thinking of the future. Adding a seventh-round pick in '26 is not much, but it is a positive start. Pitlick failed to make an impact since he was acquired as part of the big Erik Karlsson deal.

Fantasy impact
There is no fantasy impact here, as Pitlick is a journeyman forward merely hoping to get back to the big league soon.
