What does it give the Boston Bruins
Peeke is a solid defender who has been buried behind other Columbus blueliners. He has a chance to play on the third pairing in Boston ahead of Kevin Shattenkirk. He is a pretty decent, under-the-radar acquisition for the Bruins.
What does it give the Columbus Blue Jackets
The Blue Jackets did not alleviate the logjam on defense here, but Zboril has been in the AHL this season. He could use a fresh start at the National Hockey League level, but will he get that opportunity with Columbus? The jury is out.
