STARS BRING BACK LANGENBRUNNER

The Dallas Stars acquired winger Jamie Langenbrunner from the New Jersey Devils for a conditional third-round draft pick in 2011.

What does it give the Dallas Stars
The Stars add solid depth here in Langenbrunner, who was originally drafted by Dallas and won a Stanley Cup with the team in 1999. His arrival could bump Jamie Benn to the third line, which would give the Stars impressive forward depth. OR, veteran Langenbrunner will move into a third-line role. Either way, this should work out well for Dallas.

What does it give the New Jersey Devils
In this disastrous campaign that the Devils are currently entangled in, it's no surprise that they've decided to move out a veteran like captain Langenbrunner. In return, the Devils will receive a third rounder (which could turn into a second rounder if the Stars make it out of the first round of the playoffs). New Jersey could also get other draft pick considerations if the Stars re-sign Langenbrunner.
