AVS WILD DEAL DEPTH

The Colorado Avalanche acquired left-winger Chris Bala from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for left-winger Jordan Krestanovich.

What does it give the Minnesota Wild
Krestanovich is three years younger than Bala, and may have slightly more upside potential. He may even get a chance to play in Minnesota to close out the 2003-04 season, and is a candidate for a job with the big club next year.

What does it give the Colorado Avalanche
Bala will provide some depth for the AHL roster, and a potential injury replacement down the road. He may never see Denver, however.
