Scouting Report
Had tremendous power to all fields. Could go red-hot and put on a home-run display for weeks. Ran the bases well for a big man. Was a good athlete and a versatile fielder at the big-league level. Lacked consistency in part because he had holes in his swing and lacked ideal patience at the plate. Could be mistake-prone on the bases and afield. Injuries became a factor late in his career, too.
Long Range Potential: Versatile, inconsistent power hitter, when healthy.
