SAM DYSON DEALT TO MINNESOTA

The Minnesota Twins acquired pitcher Sam Dyson from the San Francisco Giants for outfielder Jaylin Davis and pitchers Prelander Berroa and Kai-Wei Teng.

What does it give the Minnesota Twins
Dyson is having a solid season in a setup role, so he is likely to be used in a similar capacity in Minnesota (especially since the Twins also acquired veteran Sergio Romo from Miami recently). Both Dyson and Romo could get save opportunities with Minnesota down the stretch.

What does it give the San Francisco Giants
The Giants need outfield help, so adding the 25-year-old Davis makes sense. In Berroa and Teng, the Giants also added a pair of raw right-handers with plenty of upside. Overall, this was a good deal for San Francisco as it added three assets that are organizational needs.

Fantasy impact
Dyson should do well in Minnesota, so pick him up if available in virtually all league formats this season. Davis may have an opportunity to establish himself as an outfielder in San Francisco, so he could be worth a pickup in very deep leagues. Both Berroa and Teng should now be on the keeper-league radar.
