JOSH RICHARDSON JOINS BOSTON
The Boston Celtics acquired guard/forward Josh Richardson from the Dallas Mavericks for center Moses Brown.
What does it give the Boston Celtics
The Celtics acquired Brown in the Kemba Walker trade, but apparently needed a scoring wing more. Richardson can come off the bench or start for Boston, so he should play regularly as part of the rotation in 2021-22.
What does it give the Dallas Mavericks
Brown is a good young center for the Mavericks, who have mostly veteran role players at that position. If Brown pans out, he could end up starting next to Kristaps Porzingis (who may be better at the four than playing center most of the time).
Fantasy impact
Both Richardson and Brown could be valuable assets with their new teams, so both can be drafted towards the latter stages of most league formats.
