CLIPPERS BRING IN BLEDSOE
The Los Angeles Clippers acquired guard Eric Bledsoe from the Memphis Grizzlies for guards Rajon Rondo and Patrick Beverley, and center/forward Daniel Oturu.
What does it give the Los Angeles Clippers
The Clippers felt that both Rondo and Beverley were expendable due to the emergence of Reggie Jackson as the team's starting point guard last season. So, they decided to bring in Bledsoe to serve a backup role in Los Angeles. Oturu was not used much in LA.
What does it give the Memphis Grizzlies
Bledsoe was never going to remain with Memphis, even after he was acquired from New Orleans earlier this off-season. This was a salary dump, as Beverley is expected to be moved again (and Rondo could be waived). Oturu may be used a little more by Memphis.
Fantasy impact
None of Bledsoe, Rondo, Beverley or Oturu offer much in the way of recommendable fantasy value at this time. Therefore, take a wait-and-see approach on all four players.
