KNICKS NET CAM REDDISH
The New York Knicks acquired guard/forward Cam Reddish, a second-round draft pick in 2025 and forward Solomon Hill from the Atlanta Hawks for forward Kevin Knox II and a protected first-round draft pick in 2022.
What does it give the New York Knicks
In Reddish, the Knicks get a quality young player capable of producing more offense than he has shown so far in the NBA. He is good defensively, so expect him to see plenty of minutes under New York coach Tom Thibodeau. Hill was likely thrown into this deal as a salary dump by Atlanta. He is out for the season due to injury.
What does it give the Atlanta Hawks
The Hawks decided to move on from Reddish, who never really found his niche with the team. In return, Atlanta will get New York's first-round pick in this year's draft (lottery protected) as well as Knox II (who has also disappointed at the NBA level so far). He needed a fresh start, so perhaps the move to Atlanta will benefit him.
Fantasy impact
Both Reddish and Knox II could benefit greatly from the trade. However, only Reddish is worth picking up in deeper formats at present time. For now, keep an eye on Knox II to see how he adjusts to a new role with the Hawks.
