COLE TO HEAT IN 4-TEAM SWAP

The Miami Heat acquired the rights Norris Cole from the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for the rights to Bojan Bogdanovic, a 2014 second-round draft pick and cash considerations.

What does it give the Miami Heat
The Heat have two great distributors in superstars LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, but their lack of an explosive point guard was an issue in this year's playoffs. Enter Cole, who could emerge as a starter for them soon over the so-so Mario Chalmers. A nice pickup here by the Heat, who don't have to give up much in return.

What does it give the Minnesota Timberwolves
The Nets are a young team in need of more scoring punch, and down the road Bogdanovic might be able to help with that. For now he's playing in Turkey, and will likely stay there for next season. Eventually he could prove to be a solid scorer off the bench for Jersey.

What does it give the
Mirotic is a solid long-range prospect for the Bulls, who already have a deep and talented team and so don't need many new players for 2011-12. Expect Mirotic to keep playing overseas for now, but to eventually make it to the NBA and make the Bulls look good.

What does it give the
The always-busy T-Wolves yet again did a copious amount of wheeling and dealing on draft day. Obviously they can't keep all their pickups, and team boss David Kahn does a nice job here of adding needed cash and a future draft pick in return for helping other teams get players they want.
