He was elite as a receiving tailback, and was essentially another wideout on the field. Had uncanny quickness and agility, along with great speed and fantastic open-field moves. He was an especially elusive playmaker off the pass catch. Also an explosive return man. Was highly injury-prone, to the point of fragility. Too often he tried to make too much happen on every handoff, which led to a lot of stuffs. Wasn't a power runner, and got frustrated at times by double teams when he was the focal point of the offense.
