WALLER GOES TO THE GIANTS

The New York Giants acquired tight end Darren Waller from the Las Vegas Raiders for a third-round draft pick in 2023 (No. 100 overall).

What does it give the New York Giants
In Waller, the Giants land a field-stretching, deep-threat tight end with off-the-charts athleticism. He has had injury issues in the past, but could be a massive playmaker for New York moving forward. He also did not cost too much. Great pickup by the Giants.

What does it give the Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders are resetting a little bit here. They have massive needs on defense and are going to look different on offense, as well. Expect Las Vegas to become a far more run-heavy team going forward. Therefore, Waller was likely going to be phased out of the offense anyway.

Fantasy impact
Waller's fantasy stock should remain strong with the move to New York. He is easily a top-10 fantasy tight end for 2023 and might be able to sneak into the top five, too. Draft him with confidence with the hope he can remain healthy.
