TRAUTMAN TRADED TO DENVER

The Denver Broncos acquired tight end Adam Trautman and a seventh-round draft pick in 2023 (No. 257 overall) from the New Orleans Saints for a sixth-round draft pick in 2023 (No. 195 overall).

What does it give the Denver Broncos
In Trautman, the Broncos land a tight end who is extremely familiar with Denver head coach Sean Payton from their days together in New Orleans. Trautman should see more pass-catching opportunities than he did last year.

What does it give the New Orleans Saints
The Saints moved on from Trautman because he was not an ideal fit for their offensive scheme since Payton's departure. So, they received a one-round pick upgrade in this year's draft in exchange for Trautman's services.

Fantasy impact
Trautman could become a valuable receiving option for Russell Wilson in Denver. That said, there should be better fantasy options at the tight end position in many league formats.
