PATS LAND OCHO

The New England Patriots acquired wide receiver Chad Ochocinco from the Cincinnati Bengals for undisclosed draft considerations.

What does it give the New England Patriots
Can superstar quarterback Tom Brady and mastermind head coach Bill Belichick revive Ocho's career? The answer is maybe. Ochocinco is definitely a No. 1 receiver in terms of talent, and with vets Wes Welker and Deion Branch slowing down a little, Ochocinco might easily emerge as Brady's top target. Don't be surprised if he posts career numbers for New England.

What does it give the Cincinnati Bengals
Cincinnati is a team in flux right now and has significant chemistry issues, so perhaps this deal plays a role in an attempt to fix the locker room. The return here for a stellar player obviously isn't much, but the Bengals do at least cut significant payroll. This move obviously opens up more looks in the Cincy offense for the remaining Bengals receiving corps, especially gifted rookie A.J. Green.
