Scouting Report
Owned a big shot from the point and good offensive instincts. Displayed all-around acumen and was the total physical package. Had impressive lateral movement and big-hitting ability. Was also a leader. Could log a ton of ice time. Lacked consistency. His defensive-zone coverage left something to be desired at times, which negated his impact at the NHL level. Was a little too exhuberant at times in search of the big hit, which could place him out of position. Had trouble living up to his early success in the NHL.
Long Range Potential: Inconsistent, talented all-around defenseman.
