Iskhakov signed a contract with CSKA Moscow of the KHL on Wednesday, Ethan Sears of the New York Post reports.
Iskhakov was recalled from AHL Bridgeport on Wednesday.
The Russian forward moved from his homeland to Slovakia, then back to Russia and then over to the United States to play for the University of Connecticut. He has also toiled in Finland and Germany as a pro, so his formative years have been fruitful. Lacks size for the NHL game, but he has been adding bulk over time. The name of his game is puckhandling, puck distribution and passing. He can also score goals.
Long Range Potential: Diminutive but dynamic playmaker with a little upside.
