Logged big minutes at every level he played. Was smooth and poised under pressure; he moved the puck swiftly and efficiently. Was capable of leading the rush thanks to natural offensive instincts. Had a good point shot and could quarterback a power play due to an outstanding hockey IQ. His chronic knee woes slowed his skating stride over time. Did not initiate a lot of contact, as he was a bit passive in the physicality department. Could struggle against some of the NHL's biggest forwards. Wore down over time with overuse but managed to enjoy a very lengthy playing career.

Long Range Potential: Excellent, big-minute defenseman.
