Very big, the long-legged netminder covered a lot of the lower part of the net simply because of his size. He was surprisingly mobile and athletic and he made fantastic reaction saves, but he sometimes relied too much on his size to cover up for a tendency to wander out of his net. Was not the best at handling the puck. Never showed the kind of consistency NHL teams need from a starting goaltender and was at his best when he did not play too much.
