BOWERS FOR KINKAID

The Boston Bruins acquired forward Shane Bowers from the Colorado Avalanche for goaltender Keith Kinkaid.

What does it give the Boston Bruins
Bowers was once a top prospect but he has since fallen on hard times in the AHL. The Bruins are taking a chance on the 2017 first-rounder (Ottawa), who turns 24 later this year.

What does it give the Colorado Avalanche
The Avalanche are clearly not comfortable with their current goaltending depth behind starter Alexandar Georgiev. Kinkaid has tons of pro experience; he is a good safety net.
