Kinkaid signed a one-year, two-way contract with New Jersey on Wednesday.
Scouting Report
Has bounced around the NHL, mostly as a backup, into his 30s because he has never shown the kind of consistency needed from a starter. He is quick laterally and has good reflexes but has been known to drop to the ice too quickly and get caught out of position, making him vulnerable to shooters who are patient.
Long Range Potential: Depth goaltender.
