VISNOVSKY TO EDMONTON

What does it give the Edmonton Oilers
In Visnovsky, the Oilers add another offensive rearguard who will likely take the place of restricted free agent Joni Pitkanen--who will now likely be traded. Visnovsky will team with young Tom Gilbert and veteran Sheldon Souray on the point of the power play, but there are definitely more moves coming so keep an eye on Edmonton GM Kevin Lowe.

What does it give the Los Angeles Kings
The Kings dealt away their top power-play quarterback, which opens the door for youngsters Jack Johnson, Peter Harrold, Drew Doughty and Thomas Hickey to challenge for playing time on the power play--this year and beyond. In Stoll, the Kings add a two-way center in need of a fresh start, while Greene is the big, punishing rearguard the club sorely lacked.
