Scouting Report
Was one of the great defensive center-fielders of all time. Was always a dangerous power threat, as well as a good hitter versus left-handed pitching in particular. Could get red-hot with the bat. Threw well from the outfield. Lost a lot of range, speed and defensive acumen over time. Was always a free swinger, so he could often be all or nothing at the plate. Went into prolonged hitting funks at the dish. Stopped being a stolen-base threat early.
Long Range Potential: Elite defensive outfielder and quality run producer.
